Popular Trucks We Carry
Our truck inventory turns over regularly. The brands and models below represent what we source most often — contact us for current availability on any specific make, model, or trim level.
Ford
The best-selling truck in Canada for good reason — the F-150 covers every use case from basic work truck to full luxury Platinum. Available in every powertrain configuration, with a used market deep enough to find the exact trim you need.
RAM
RAM earned its devoted following with a legendary Hemi engine and a coil-spring rear suspension that rides smoother than any other full-size truck. Towing ratings are strong across the lineup, and the interior quality beats most people's expectations.
GMC
GMC positions itself as the premium option in the GM truck family, and the Sierra delivers on that promise. The MultiPro tailgate is genuinely useful, and Denali trims bring luxury that holds its own against anything on the market.
Toyota
Toyota's reputation for bulletproof reliability is well-earned, and both the Tacoma and Tundra hold their resale value better than most competitors. TRD Off-Road packages are purpose-built for Alberta backcountry — not just a sticker package.
Chevrolet
Fleet-proven dependability over decades of commercial use. The Silverado is a no-drama workhorse with one of the widest parts availability networks in Alberta, which matters when you are putting real miles on a truck.
Nissan
The most overlooked segment in the Alberta truck market. Nissan's Frontier and Titan are capable, well-priced, and often undervalued compared to the Ford and RAM alternatives — a genuine opportunity for the buyer who does the research.
What to Check When Buying a Used Truck in Alberta
Trucks are built to work hard, and used trucks in Alberta often have. Here is what to look at before you commit — beyond the obvious mileage and service records.
Frame and Undercarriage
Alberta road salt causes accelerated corrosion on anything exposed underneath. Check the frame rails, cross-members, and brake lines for rust. Surface rust is cosmetic; structural rust on frame rails is a dealbreaker. Get under the truck with a flashlight before you fall in love with the cabin.
Transfer Case and 4WD System
Engage 4-High and 4-Low during the test drive — not just on pavement but on a surface where you can feel it catch. Listen for grinding, clunking, or delayed engagement. A transfer case rebuild is an expensive repair that is easy to avoid by testing the system properly before purchase.
Towing Package Components
If towing matters to you, verify the truck actually has the tow package — not just a hitch bolted on. Look for the transmission cooler, trailer brake controller wiring, and the correct hitch receiver rating for your load. A Class III receiver and a Class V receiver are not the same thing.
Bed Condition
Lift the bed liner if there is one — rust hides underneath. Check the tailgate latches and hinges for wear, the tie-down anchors for cracks or pulled welds, and the bed floor for any soft spots. A bed that has carried gravel or equipment tells a different story than one that has only seen camping gear.
Suspension and Ride Height
Leaf springs sag under sustained heavy use. Park the truck on flat ground and check whether it sits level front-to-back and side-to-side. Drive it over a speed bump and count the bounces — more than one or two suggests worn shocks. Uneven wear on the rear tires can indicate the same.
Alberta Truck Buyer's Checklist
Buying a truck in Alberta comes with a few considerations you would not face buying a sedan in Ontario. Work through these before you sign.
Alberta Registration and AMVIC Inspection
If a truck is sourced from another province, Alberta law requires an out-of-province inspection through an AMVIC-licensed facility before the vehicle can be registered here. This is not optional — and a failed inspection means repair costs before you can legally drive it. Every truck we sell has already cleared Alberta inspection, so there are no surprises at the registry.
Winter Tires — Even on a 4x4
A common misconception among Alberta truck buyers is that four-wheel drive eliminates the need for winter tires. It does not. 4x4 helps you accelerate and get moving, but it does nothing for stopping on ice — that is entirely on the tires. A truck weighs 2,500 kg or more, and all-season tires on ice extend your stopping distance significantly. Budget for a winter tire set if the truck does not come with one. It is not optional if you are driving Alberta roads between October and April.
Fuel Costs — Be Honest With Yourself
A 5.7L HEMI or 5.0L Coyote V8 is not frugal. Daily-driven full-size trucks with large engines typically cost $350–$500 per month in Alberta fuel at current pump prices, depending on your commute and driving style. If towing is not your primary use, smaller engines — the 3.5L EcoBoost, the Tacoma 4-cylinder, or the RAM eTorque — are worth considering. Know your real monthly fuel number before you fall in love with an engine displacement.
Get an Insurance Quote Before You Commit
Truck insurance in Alberta runs meaningfully higher than a comparable sedan — rates vary by model, trim, engine size, and your driving record. A lifted or modified truck will cost more again. Get an insurance quote on the specific truck before you agree to purchase so you know your true monthly cost: payment + insurance + fuel. That full number is what you are committing to, not just the loan payment.
Why Buy a Truck in Airdrie?
Room to Actually Test a Truck
Trucks need space. Our lot is not a cramped downtown Calgary dealership where you are navigating around other cars to complete a three-point turn. You can look at the truck properly, walk around it, check underneath, and actually drive it without anyone breathing down your neck.
QE2 Highway Minutes Away
The Queen Elizabeth II Highway is a few minutes from our location — which means test drives that actually tell you something. Highway acceleration, cruising noise, transmission behavior at speed. Not a parking lot loop that tells you nothing about a truck that will spend its life on the highway.
Better Prices Than Calgary Dealers
Lower overhead than a Calgary dealership means we can price the same quality trucks more competitively. You are not paying for a flagship showroom, a five-person finance department, and a fleet of loaner cars. You are paying for the truck.
Free Delivery Within 300km
Can't make it to Airdrie? We deliver free within 300km — that covers Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and everywhere between. If you have found the right truck and the deal makes sense, it comes to you.
Truck Financing for All Credit Situations
Trucks hold strong resale value in Alberta — which works in your favour when it comes to financing. Lenders view trucks as solid collateral, which can open doors that might otherwise stay closed.
Because trucks retain their worth longer than most vehicles, lenders are often willing to extend higher loan amounts and work with a wider range of credit profiles. The asset protects them, and that protection gets passed back to you as more flexible approval terms. Learn more about how lenders evaluate your application on our how car financing works page, or compare current car loan rates in Alberta.
We work with more than 20 lenders who understand truck buyers in all credit situations — including people rebuilding after bankruptcy or a consumer proposal, newcomers to Canada without Canadian credit history, and self-employed buyers whose income does not always look the way banks expect it to.
A down payment helps with approval and reduces your monthly payment, but it is not always required. Every situation is different. The fastest way to know where you stand is to apply — the process takes a few minutes and does not commit you to anything.
We work with all credit situations — apply online in minutes and get a decision within 24-48 hours.
Used Truck FAQs
What used trucks do you currently have in stock in Airdrie?
Our truck inventory rotates regularly. We typically carry Ford F-150s, RAM 1500s, GMC Sierras, Toyota Tacomas, and Chevrolet Silverados among others. Contact us or check our online inventory for current availability.
Can I get a truck loan with bad credit in Alberta?
Yes. We work with over 20 lenders who specialize in financing for all credit situations including bad credit, no credit, bankruptcy, and consumer proposals. Trucks are strong collateral which can help with approvals.
Do your used trucks come with a warranty?
All our vehicles go through a 162-point independent inspection before listing. Extended warranty options are available depending on the vehicle. Ask us about coverage options for the specific truck you are interested in.
What should I look for when test driving a used truck?
Pay attention to 4WD engagement, transmission shifting (especially when towing or under load), suspension bounce over bumps, and any unusual engine sounds at cold start. We encourage thorough test drives.
Do you have 4x4 trucks available for Alberta winters?
We prioritize stocking 4x4 and AWD-equipped trucks because Alberta buyers need winter capability. The majority of our truck inventory is four-wheel drive. Contact us about specific models.
Can you help me find a specific truck model?
Absolutely. If you are looking for a particular make, model, year, or trim that is not currently in our inventory, let us know. We source vehicles regularly and can watch for your ideal truck.
