Can you deliver a vehicle to Kelowna, and how does BC registration work?
Yes! We deliver to Kelowna and throughout the Okanagan. Once the vehicle arrives, you'll register it through ICBC — BC's mandatory provincial insurance provider — and get a BC out-of-province inspection done at a CVSE-approved shop. We provide all the Alberta documentation ICBC needs. Many Kelowna residents do this process regularly because Alberta pricing is consistently better.
Does BC's PST apply when I buy from an Alberta dealer?
If you register the vehicle in B.C., ICBC collects B.C. PST at registration. On a passenger vehicle bought from a dealer it is 7% under $55,000 (rising in steps above that), charged on the depreciated purchase price — the 12% rate applies to private sales. The advantage is that Alberta dealer prices are often thousands lower before PST, so the total cost (vehicle + delivery + PST) still beats local BC dealer pricing in many cases. We're upfront about this so you can do the math before committing.
